Asia Argento grew up in Rome Italy. Her family is a group of actors and she herself has been working in both fields. In 1985 she made her acting debut in Sergio Citti's Sogni e bisogni. Asia began her career in 1994 as a director when she made two short films: Prospettive (1996), an account of her father's life and her mother, as well as Abel/Asia (1998) which was a documentary on the legendary filmmaker Abel Ferrara.
